Mission Journeys
Mission Journeys at Brentwood Baptist encompass all fields of serving. From construction journeys to medical journeys to community outreach, there is an area of service in which your skills can be utilized. Christian men are vital to encouraging and modeling what it means to live out taking the gospel to the nations. Being the hands and feet of Jesus is a vital part of how we live out our faith. Short-term mission journeys are a great way to accomplish this.
Disaster Relief
Disaster Response ministry responds to physical disasters such as hurricanes, tornadoes, winds, wild fires, floods and winter storms. This includes debris and tree removal (chainsaw), mud-out, ash out, and rebuild. We also do other building and home repair as needed. In responding to physical disasters, we respond to the spiritual and emotional trauma that presents as a result of the disaster, by engaging the whole person with the whole gospel of Jesus Christ anywhere, anytime with anybody.
Sportsman Group
Our sportsman group is for men who want to experience biblical community while hunting, fishing, or camping. The great outdoors inspires us to pray and reflect on God. By experiencing God’s creation and learning God’s Word together, we connect as a community of friends. We deepen our relationship with Christ as we share in His creation.
Men’s Bible Study Groups
Our men’s discipleship opportunities include something for men of all ages and stages. Connect with other men through weekly Bible studies, LIFE groups, and more.
Men In Training (MIT)
Men In Training (MIT) is study for men of all ages and stages of life. We study God’s Word together, then break into small groups to discuss the text, share life together, and pursue our relationship with Christ. Come make new friends while you experience God at work in your life.
Carpenter’s Hands
Carpenter’s Hands is a community that exists to assist people in local communities that have needs related to housing maintenance, repair, or upkeep but do not have the financial ability to make the repairs on their own. “Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, serving as overseers—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve.” 1 Peter 5:2 NIV
Mentoring
Mentoring relationships are an opportunity to walk 1-on-1 with a mature believer to help you learn to follow Jesus more faithfully day-to-day.
Faith and Work
Faith and work ministry attempts to create a conversation about what it means to integrate our commitment to Jesus with all our lives, including the workplace. This conversation includes, but goes beyond, evangelism and ethics to a holistic and comprehensive approach. Come be a part of the conversation.
Affinity Groups
Affinity groups are a great way to build spiritual communities around your work, your hobbies, and other passions. Relationships will lead to meaningful conversations that help us live more like Jesus.
College
Our college groups provide a safe place for students to make friends and grow in biblical community. We meet throughout the week, from church to college campuses to coffee shops, to stay connected and grow as an authentic community of friends committed to following Jesus.
