A Message from The Facilitator

Trevor Walton | graduate of Trevecca University | Licensed Marriage & Family Therapy Counselor

My heart for the group:

Unfortunately, pornography addiction has played a big part in my own life. Because of the destructive ways I’ve seen pornography impact me and many others I’ve walked beside, I have a heart to stand with people as they head down the path toward recovery. I hope this group is a safe place to come and receive the fullness of God’s forgiveness, grace, and healing.  The goal of the group is to maintain sexual sobriety and learn to experience true intimacy with others as we renew our minds together.

About The Group

The first part of the group's time will be spent supporting each other, and the second part will be used to read through responses to the questions in the books. Outside of the group's time, members will be encouraged to reach out to each other for support, complete the lesson each week, and engage with the Holy Spirit as He guides their healing journey.

About the Resource

Celebrate Recovery: The Journey Begins (4 book set)

  1. Stepping out of Denial into God’s Grace
  2. Taking an Honest and Spiritual Inventory
  3. Getting Right with God, Yourself, and Others
  4. Growing in Christ While Helping Others

These four guides by Pastor John Baker walk you through the eight recovery principles, drawn from the Beatitudes, upon which the 12-step Celebrate Recovery program is built. By working through the lessons and exercises found in each of the four Participant's Guides, you will begin to experience the true peace and serenity you have been seeking, restore and develop stronger relationships with others and with God, and find freedom from life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
