VBS 2023 – Twists & Turns
June 12-16 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
This summer, kids will learn how following Jesus changes the game. As the One through whom all things were created, He’s not only the ultimate guide through the twists and turns of life, He’s also the Captain of the winning team. They’ll learn that Jesus is holy, trustworthy, forgiving, worth following, and He came for everyone. That means He wants everyone to follow Him to victory!

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Why should I volunteer at VBS?
This list would be enormous if we shared all the reasons, so here are just a few:
- VBS is the single largest evangelistic event we hold all year. Children from all over the area, both churched and unchurched, will come, and we have the opportunity to both show them and tell them how much Jesus loves them.
- Because you’ll be at VBS, you’ll be able to have conversations with your own child about what happened that morning, what he or she learned, what game he or she played in rec, and more.
- You could serve in your own child’s class, getting to know his or her peers!
- When you invite neighbors to VBS, you’re able to assure them that you’ll be in the building if they need anything.
Will I get stuck doing hours of planning, or decorating, or something I really don’t want to do?
When you complete the volunteer registration, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us where and how you’re available to serve. If you have any questions about what a particular role will look like, we’ll be happy to help explain that so you can make an informed decision about your VBS role before making a commitment. I do hope you will prayerfully consider being a part of the Brentwood Baptist 2023 VBS team!
Please note: ALL volunteers MUST be Brentwood Baptist church members or regular attendees and MUST complete a background check as well as the online Volunteer Registration Form Click the volunteer registration link below to complete the Registration Form.

ARRIVAL
When you arrive, please enter through Door H or Door G, and come towards the atrium for check-in. If you have any questions when you arrive, you can find anyone wearing a navy VBS t-shirt and they will be glad to help however they can. To view our VBS map, click HERE.
CHECK-IN/DROP-OFF
Check-in and drop-off begin at 8:45 a.m.
To check in your child:
- Go to one of the check-in computer kiosks in the hallway near the atrium. Enter your phone number, select your children’s names, and hit print.
- The computer will print a nametag for each child.
- In addition to the nametag, you will also receive a wristband for each child. You will use the wristband, nametag, or a photo of the nametag to pick up your child at the end of the day. Take a picture of the nametag or give it to the adult who is picking up your child if it is not going to be you.
After checking in your child, the doors to the worship center will open at 8:45 a.m. Please escort your child to the row of seats labeled with your child’s class name (for example: KB = “Kindergarten B”). If your child is preschool age, you can drop them off in the classroom listed on their name tag in the Preschool Area.
PICK-UP
Pickup will begin at 12:00 p.m. for Preschool and 12:15 p.m. for kindergarten and up. To ensure the safety and security of the children attending VBS, parents will enter in groups of 10-12 to pick up their children from the worship center. A wristband or nametag (or photo of nametag) MUST be presented to pick up your child. Please do not remove nametags or wristbands until you have left the building. Nametags and wristbands will be checked when you pick up your child from their class and again before you leave the building.

VBS FAQ
What is VBS?
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a fun-filled spiritual adventure that focuses on Bible study and life application for children from age 5 – grade 5 (age 5 on or before August 15).
It’s just one week—is VBS that valuable?
Attending one week at VBS is the time equivalent of attending Sunday morning groups for six months. And because learners are immersed in the biblical content for an extended period of time each day, they have even more opportunities to learn through repetition using games, snacks, music, and more.
