SERVE LOCAL (formerly known as Engage Middle Tennessee) is a chance for all of our campus to come and serve. You can come as an individual, group, set of friends, or family and invite all you know to come with you!
This year we invite you to choose one or more of the opportunities listed below….click the registration link below to let us know which of the opportunities you would like to learn more about or sign up to participate in for Serve Local 2023.
1) Dia del Niño. We will be working with our friends at Hispanic Family Foundation and Plaza Mariachi to throw a festival of games, activities, music, food, and fun on Saturday, April 29 at 12Noon-5PM. This is a tremendous opportunity to connect with, serve, and build relationships with one of the most highly diverse areas of Nashville. You will not want to miss this!
2) DCS Community Support. On Saturday, April 29, we will serve our DCS community through a project geared toward meeting their specific needs. We will also take this chance to make sure that our local workers and kids know that they are cared for and seen. More project details coming soon.
3) Both Hands “Big Build.” Both Hands is an organization working to serve both the widow and the orphan by connecting the dots between those hoping to grow their family through adoption and service projects to help widows. On Saturday, May 6, from TIME TBD, we will join their “Big Build” day. You do not have to be a home renovation expert; just have a heart to serve and you will get connected.
4) Tacos 4 Life and Feed My Starving Children. Help alleviate food insecurity by joining us for a meal packing party on Saturday, May 6, at TIME TBD at the Brentwood campus. Together, we’ll pack thousands of meals to be sent to children around the world who suffer from lack of food and resources.
